I serve as the Program Director for Safe Families PLUS. I also serve as the National Director of Research, Training, Scaling, and Innovation at Safe Families for Children. And I'm passionate about helping children who have experienced trauma and supporting caregivers to strengthen and preserve the family unit.
I am a Chicago native with a deep love for the city. I grew up on the southside and graduated from Lane Tech College Prep. I'm also a former foster youth who strongly believes that, with the right social supports, all youth can excel in spite of the cards they are dealt. I've had a number of great mentors during my time in care, which made all the difference in the world!
I obtained a B.A. in English from Stanford and later returned home to receive a Masters in Social Service Administration from the University of Chicago. In my free time, you can usually find me on a plane traveling to a new place, watching old episodes of Grey's Anatomy, or at spin class.
Paige Van Dyke
I am originally from Holland, Michigan and the middle of five siblings. In May 2017, I graduated from Moody Bible Institute with a Bachelor’s in Pre-Counseling. I've been working for Safe Families PLUS as the Program Coordinator since June 2017. My primary role is equipping mentors and managing referrals. I am passionate about empowering youth and providing them with the love and support they need to excel. Some things I enjoy include sewing, eating Chipotle, spoiling my nephews, and exploring the city with my fiancé.
I serve as the Mentor Coordinator for Safe Families PLUS. I have four years of experience working for several nonprofits impacting the lives of young adults. I'm passionate about spending time doing what matters to our youth, while providing unconditional and lasting support for them through mentorship. In my spare time, I DJ around town and hang out my family.
