Live Mentor Training!

Know someone who would make a great mentor? A live training for new volunteer mentors will be held on Saturday, June 30th, 2018 from 10am - 12:00pm. All are welcome! Coffee and breakfast will be provided. Come learn about adolescent brain development, the effects of childhood trauma, and best practices for connecting with youth navigating the child welfare system.

Safe Families PLUS Mentor Training

If you are an adult age 25 and over with a desire to mentor a youth or young adult for at least (1) year, this training will provide information on best practices in mentoring, adolescent brain development, the impact of trauma, and an overview of the specific needs of youth involved in the child welfare system.

Live fingerprinting will be available for those who need to complete background checks. Please bring your state-issued photo ID.
